Maura Kate Hallam, owner of Hallam Creative Services, has a long history of working with words. Maura first became seriously interested in writing as a career when she won the prestigious New England Council of Teachers of English Excellence Award in Writing in 1988. She went on earn a BA in English Literature at Boston College, and spent a year studying creative writing at Emerson College.
Professionally, Maura has honed her writing and editing talents in both the print and online publishing worlds for more than a dozen years. Whether it be researching and writing an article on San Diego tide pools, conducting an interview for a profile piece, or editing an article on Microsoft's .NET technology, her experience has been varied and extensive. Since 1999, Maura has worked as a full-time writer and editor. The companies she has provided writing and editing expertise to include Web development companies, non-profit organizations, health care systems, marketing communications firms, human resources service providers, telecommunications administrative outsourcing firms, and Internet and technology companies.
